Program Overview
The Technical Certificate in Professional Medical Coding is designed to give students the foundational education and practice to demonstrate coding competency across all settings, including hopsitals and physician practices. Students who complete this program are eligible to take the American Health Information Management Association’s national Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credentialing examination.

The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and equitable treatment in the application of credits for admissions and degree requirements. Degree Requirements
-This certificate requires successful completion of 37 credit hours.
-A minimum 2.00 cumulative grade-point average is required for graduation.
-Satisfaction of all financial obligations due to the college is required for graduation.
-Please note: additional prerequisite courses may be required if minimum placement test scores are not met.
