This technical certificate program is designed to provide cosmetology education that meets the requirements of government agencies and the skills standards set for entry-level nail technologists. This course of study instructs students in basic theory and lab services.

Program Learning Outcomes:

  1. Apply thorough knowledge of the Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Laws, Regulations and Health and Safety Standards.
  2. Exhibit proficiency in the general sciences of nail care.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to perform nail care services and enhancements.

 

Program Content Breakdown in Clock Hours:

Health, Sanitation and Infection Control   75 hours

Health Related Science   75 hours

Manicuring and Pedicuring   200 hours

Advance Nail Technology   200 hours

Career Development   49 hours

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault   1 hour

Total: 600 hours
