Accreditation Information

  • UA - Pulaski Technical College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (www.hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • The Automotive Technology program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation/National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (NATEF/ASE).
  • The Aviation Maintenance Technology programs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • The Cosmetology program is licensed by the Cosmetology Section of the Arkansas Department of Health.
  • The Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts programs are accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF). These programs have achieved Recognition of Quality Education by the World Association of Chefs Societies.
  • The Hospitality Management program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
  • Courses in the Wine and Spirits are accredited by the London, England Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
  • The Dental Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (CODA).
  • The Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), 1248 Harwood Road, Bedford TX 76021-4244, (817) 283-2835, www.coarc.com.
  • The Practical Nursing program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • The Occupational Therapy Assistant program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4929, (301) 652-AOTA, www.acoteonline.org.
  • The Early Childhood Program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC).
  • The Radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • The Surgical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Accreditation Review Committee in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (www.arcstsa.org).   • The Emergency Medical Sciences programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), Section of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
  • The Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
  • The Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Services, Office of Long-term Care.
  • The Medication Assistant certificate program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN). 
  • The College is also approved by the Arkansas State Approving Agency for Veterans Training.
