PLGL 10103 - Introduction to Law Credit Hours: 3
This course provides a general overview of the legal system and important areas of the law, such as contracts, criminal law, torts, and real estate. Students become familiar with the structure and functions of the court systems, the steps in legal proceedings, law books and the law library, and the American system of law.

Prerequisite(s): Complete one of the following:
- A score of 19 or above on the English section of the ACT.
- A score of 83 or above on the Accuplacer Sentence Skills placement test.
- A score of 261 or above on the Accuplacer Next Gen WritiScore placement test.
- A “C” or better in ENGL 01171 (Composition Review).
