EDHP 20143 - Development and Learning Theories Credit Hours: 3
This course introduces the candidate to the physical, cognitive, language/communication, social, and emotional development of individuals from infancy through adulthood. This course surveys six developmental stages: prenatal development, infancy and toddlerhood, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood, and the physical, cognitive and emotional changes that occur during these periods.

Prerequisite(s): Must complete one of the following:
- A score of 19 or above on the Reading section of the ACT.
- A score of 78 or above on the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension placement test.
- A score of 253 or above on the Accuplacer Next Gen Reading placement test.
- A grade of “C” or better in READ 03003 (Foundations of Literacy).
