ECTC 24033 - Math & Science for Early Childhood Credit Hours: 3
This course familiarizes students with a variety of ways to introduce children birth through pre- kindergarten, including children with unique developmental variations, to ideas and concepts related to math and science. Students create activities and plan practice developmentally appropriate experiences that would meet recognized standards (NAEYC, NCTM, etc.) for these areas. Practical application and theory are provided through a 5-hour field observation. Students are required to have clear maltreatment, criminal and FBI background checks and a current UA-PTC Education ID badge prior to going in the field. This course is part of the Birth through Pre-Kindergarten Teaching Credential core.
