OTAP 11133 - Medical Terminology for OTA Credit Hours: 3
The course is a study of words that relate to human body systems, anatomical structures, pathology and medical procedures. Word roots combining forms, prefixes, suffixes, plural endings, abbreviations, and pronunciations are covered. The language of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework is also studied. Emphasis is placed upon demonstrating a functional, working knowledge of medical terminology encountered in practice as an occupational therapy assistant. Requires admission into the Baptist Health College Little Rock-School of Occupational Therapy Assistant.
