ASTE 15003 - Climate Control With Lab Credit Hours: 3
This course begins with a study of the theory of refrigeration, the refrigeration cycle and the basic components of a typical automotive refrigeration system. It includes the function and construction of compressors, lines, expansion valves, orifice tubes, receiver dryers, accumulators, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, and air distribution systems. Emphasis is placed on service and maintenance procedures as well as basic shop safety.
