Program Overview
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, a Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient bedside care such as personal hygiene, treatments and medication administration. The Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing program begins in fall every year and combines theory instruction with clinical experiences. The one-year full-time program is accredited by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Upon completion, the student may apply for eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

Degree Requirements
- A total of 49-54 credit hours are required.
- This degree requires summer courses and special program fees beyond current tuition and college fees.
- Saisfaction of all financial obligations due to the college is required for graduation.
- A 2.00 cumulative grade-point average is required for graduation.
Please note: additional prerequisite courses may be required if minimum placement test scores are not met.
