ECTC 2503 - Child Guidance Credit Hours: 3
This course links principles of child development to appropriate methods of guiding children’s behavior for children birth through pre-kindergarten, including children with special needs. Techniques for managing groups of children in the various childcare settings are practiced. This course is part of the Birth through Pre-Kindergarten Teaching Credential core. This course includes five hours of field experience. Students are required to have clear maltreatment, criminal and FBI background checks and a current student ID prior to going in the field. Prerequisite/Corequisite ECD 1003 , ECD 1103 , ECD 1203 , and ECD 1423 with a grade of “C” or better.
