Program Overview
The Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health prepares students for allied health careers. The five degree options include a block of general education requirements and selected allied health professional curriculum credits. The Histotechnology, Sleep Technology, and Surgical Technology options are offered through a partnership with Baptist Health College Little Rock. The Radiography option is offered through a partnership with St. Vincent Infirmary School of Radiologic Technology. Dental Assisting is offered at UA-PTC. Students will be admitted into the professional core through specific requirements of the admission/selection criteria of the affiliated school.
BHCLR Completion Option: Histotechnology, Sleep Technology, & Surgical Technology
This option is only for students who have completed a Certificate in Histotechnology, Sleep Technology, or Surgical Technology from Baptist Health College Little Rock.
Degree Requirements
-A UA-Pulaski Technical College residency requirement states that a student must complete at least 25% or 15 credit hours at UA-PTC in order to be eligible for the Associate of Applied Science degree.
-This program of study is 60-64 credit hours, and a 2.00 GPA is required.
-Satisfaction of all financial obligations due to the college is required for graduation.
-Please note: additional courses may be required if minimum placement test requirements are not met.
