Program Overview
The field of medical records is growing rapidly. The Health Information Technology program provides students with knowledge of the duties and responsibilities as it relates to the management of patient medical records. Through the use of textbooks, applications, and simulations, students are given the opportunity to develop the skills required for this field. The Certificate of Proficiency in Health Information Technology will be the basis for a student who has an interest in healthcare, but does not prefer direct patient care.

-A minimum 2.00 cumulative grade-point average is required for graduation.
