The Technical Certificate in Entrepreneurship is designed to inspire critical thinking in students, develop positive approaches to problem-solving, build attributes of creativity, and foster and enhance entrepreneurial traits in individuals.

Program Learning Outcomes - In addition to achieving the institutional learning outcomes, entrepreneurship program graduates will be able to:

  • Develop a personal business plan for a small business
  • Identify steps in starting a business
  • Develop a marketing plan for a small business
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of SWOT within a small business model
  • Identify advertising opportunities within/for a small business venture
  • Identify different selling opportunities within/for a small business
  • Identify funding opportunities for individual small business ventures
  • Identify business opportunities through current business trends
  • Recognize the importance of motivation and leadership within an organization

Note: An (F) indicates a course is offered only in the fall term. An (S) indicates a course is only offered in the spring term.
