Graduation Map: Associate of General Studies

The Associate of General Studies (AGS) is a 60-hour degree designed to allow maximum exploration of courses by a student. It is not intended for students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree although some courses may be transferable. The degree must include 14-16 credit hours in a specific area or discipline and must be developed in cooperation with an advisor in the specific area or discipline. The approved degree plan must be on file with the graduation coordinator prior to application for graduation.
ACTS Course Numbers
The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and equitable treatment in the application of credits for admissions and degree requirements. Degree Requirements
- This degree requires successful completion of 60 credit hours
- A minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average required for graduation
- Satisfaction of all financial obligations due to the college is required for graduation
- Additional prerequisite courses may be required if minimum placement test scores are not met.
