HIMT 2315 - Professional Coding Practice
Credit Hours: 3
The student will be given the opportunity to correlate the didactic experiences of previous and concurrent courses with hybrid laboratory learning experiences. Application of operational coding theory and orientation to all aspects to practice as a coder in a hospital long term care or ambulatory setting. Includes student projects and clinical rotations, secondary software downloads and an AHIMA VLAB subscription code are required for successful completion of this course.

HIMT 1301 , HIMT 1304 , HIMT 1309 , HIMT 2303 AND BIOL 1303 / BIOL 1103 OR BIOL 1304 / BIOL 1104 AND BIOL 1305 / BIOL 1105
